Tea time threads are now back to normal

So now all the festivities and celebrations are over and done with our meals are now going back to normal LOL. At the moment I am just using up all the left overs in the fridge before normal weekly shopping resumes.

Tonight for the teenager will be grilled sausage and bacon cobs. For me it will be grilled mushrooms, tomatoes, beans and hash browns.

That should just about use up all the food stuff from the holiday period.

don't usually take part in these threads, but i do lurk !  🙂  and i love the different meals we all eat

as it's new years day, we have a roast.

this year it's beef, roast potatoes, yorkshire puddings, gravy ,carrots and peas for teenage daughter and butternut squash for me - reduced yesterday in waitrose

followed by some sort of chocolate brownie dessert from waitrose.

Re: Tea time threads are now back to normal

We had our normal Wednesday tea of breaded fish and mushy peas.  I'm trying to cut now that the festivities are over.  Mind you, I don't eat a lot of chocolate but I'm going to cut that out for the time being.  I just want to try and lose as much weight as possible so that I'll look better in the summer - if we have one.

Re: Tea time threads are now back to normal

boredom CB, you're eating to fill in the time 'cos you can't potter & fill in time 🙂

We would normally have a roast but as I haven't seen hubby for a whole meal since we got back from our holiday on 16th Dec we've decided to just relax & have an easier option. I've got mini cheddar frittatas as a starter, a spanish chicken & spiced potato meal (courtesy of M&S) with cheese nachos & salad to be finally followed by our christmas pudding with champagne blended cream.
