Nothing different from every other Thursday....jacket potatoes with baked beans. Nice warm, homely and comforting food for such a miserable day.

We had fish and chips at lunch time.  Mine was so big (14" fish) so I ate the chips and 1/4 of the fish.  For tea I fried a potato and had fish and chips again!  Hubby had scrambled egg on toast and apple and rhubarb crumble and custard.  I had a little orange.

We had a lovely beef casserole with a few chips at do after the funeral after which we had a piece of chocolate cake.  At least Grace did leave us some as she loves chocolate cake.  The young man clearing the plates in the pub asked Grace had she finished.  As she hadn't licked the dish, he got a most emphatic no.  We had a word with the young man and told him that Grace loves cake especially if it's chocolate cake.  He had a laugh over her.
