I have been crocheting a blanket for our bed just a whopping big square, nothing fancy, haven't done any for about 20 years, bought a load of wool sat down, and though der now what, thankfully it came to me and I was away, Started a week ago and it is now the size of the top of our king size, it keeps me lovely and warm when I am doing it, quite pleased with myself as I haven't really done any thing like this for years.
Thanks ladies for inspiring me.

With wind like this CB may I suggest that you stay abstain from a walk along the seafront as you could end up with a free flight across to the emerald Isles

Just been out for a lovely early birthday meal as OH is working on the day.
Been to the Metro Centre this afternoon as I had tons of vouchers I'd forgotten about. Got myself a lovely Per Una jacket / cardigan, some long camisoles (as I'm feeling the cold around my kidneys) and two pairs of boots!
Currently wearing one pair of boots in the house, as I have 28 days to return them if they aren't OK.
As I have foot problems and a very wide foot, I'm sick of trying footwear on in the shop - fine. Get them home and they cripple me.
I'm sure there is a foot / boot gremlin that makes that happen!
Sounds like you had a good day too Chris.
Have you got any guy ropes CB?

It was a fantastic day. Thanks all. There was a lady on the trip whose 62 year old son died about three weeks ago and I think that she was brave to go but I also think that it did her the power of good to get out and take her mind off things. Needless to say that she got a hug and a big one at that.
The wind seems to have dropped a lot here thankfully. We have been forecast with cloud today and it's going to be on the cool side. Hope that everyone stays safe and I hope that CB doesn't get blown away in Llandudno. Hope that you have a good time CB.
Also waits for piccies of Ed's blanket.
Have to go now but as usual, hugs to all that need them.

Wind has also thankfully subsided here too but managed to knock over some heavy duty pots in the garden last night and some branches down on the back roads,
Have a great day today CB and if you happen to come across my large blue recycling box can you please return it to me as must be somewhere your way by now I think .
