THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Morning all.

I'm getting really fed up of having to defrost the car every morning in the dark.:-(

Quite in work today and I'm on a half day.:-D

Must get on and finish the new curtains for the bar when I get home.

my neighbour came and asked me why we never need to scrape our windscreens every morning like they do

the night before, just before it goes dark (assuming you wont use your car after that) get a skooshy bottle, fill it 75% with white vinegar & 25% water, shake and spray on your windscreen

it wont frost up then

do this every night once you are parked up for the night and you wont have to scrape it again

attached all my binding on the front

this has been a learning curve

1 - dont stitch as far before you do the ends next time

2 - think material thickness before deciding to use it as a binding

3 - banish aformentioned cat who sits on everything before you start attaching the back with your piece sat on your knee

if she would sit still it would be fine but she trys to follow my needle

one of us is gonna end up stabbed with it:_|

Cam belt has broken!:-( Hopefully no damage to valves as I wasn't driving it at the time. It has been towed to my local garage. They will let me know later. I am going on holiday at the weekend...in my car!

Did you have a guarentee with that car Maggie?

I'm home!:-D

I should have been a dentist!

Got there at ten to twelve for twelve o'clock appointment.

Got called in at nine minutes to twelve.

Two fillings, no injections.  Quick clean of the area to be filled, filling squirted in, purple light applied, quick file to smooth off.  I was back in reception before twelve.

£110 !!!:O   😮   😮   :_|   :_|   :_|

Filled in forms for new Denplan agreement!!!:-D

They don't gaurentee cam belts CG. I should have had it changed 'in case' when I bought the car but that's all very well in hindsight. Waiting to hear if it's just a case of a new belt or more 'major surgery'! 😞
