Went to the Rooftop Cinema last night. There is something a bit surreal about sitting on a 7th floor car park roof in a stripey deckchair, wrapped in a British Airways blanket, wearing wireless headphones, eating a chinese takeaway, drinking a white hot chocolate drink and watching a brilliant classic film in the dark. Loved every minute of it.
Today going to try & work my way through the last of my mums stuff which is filling my conservatory as the builders are renovating the flat

Are you putting your Mum's flat on the market? We were lucky and sold FILs house immediately. Were supposed to complete next Friday, but solicitor has just told us that probate won't be through in time, so have had to put the date back a week.

Emptying someone's house is a horrible job. I found that it's the little stuff that's hard.

WE have had a heavy shower, but now the sun is out - very odd waether so I'm looking forward to some sun when we go away.

Thank you Books and Captain. Glad your Mammogram was ok Books!. Feel a bit yukky today but at least meds are doing something. I must stay positive as i get very down about all this Migraine thing!.

We had a heavy shower about an hour or so back and now we have bright sunshine. Can't weigh it up.

A friend of ours went into a nursing home a few years back and her house had to be sold.  One of her sons said it felt strange emptyin a house when the person was still alive.  I should imagine that it's the bit that hurts as there must be so many memories.

Hope that you get sorted soon both Mags and Gina.

Hello, I have been in the garden most of the day, weeding and chopping mainly, half of it looks fine,  It is supposed to rain tomorrow but we will wait and see.

Well,,,,they have not said a thing about rain tonight but its coming over Stormy looking here. VERY STORMY LOOKING!!!!!. Strange!!!. Mondays not looking good either. I wont be going anywhere far thats for sure!!!.

Mags, I got the probate sorted first before starting on the flat. The builders have completely gutted it & will be giving it a complete overhaul (it needed it) & we're going to have to extend the lease before putting it on the market

It threw it down here as well this morning.  When I got back from town after going for my swim, I got drenched just walking from the car to the bungalow.  Our weather forecast for tomorrow isn't too bad.  I've just been told that we are going to Mo**isons tomorrow afternoon.  Not asked but told and my mother wonders why I never seem enthusiastic about being told I'm doing something instead of being asked.  Sometimes it would be nice to be asked.
