Afternoon all.  Sends hugs back to Merc.

Took mum into town earlier and I'm shattered now.  We were out for about a couple of hours.  She was on her best behaviour for once.

About 3 years ago I did actually move my bed into the corridor at work - we were absolutely snowed under, the rest of the team were off sick, I was working 7am to 10pm just to try to keep afloat, and it just wasn't worth the travelling to and from home. Management did take the hint and I got extra admin and support and assistance from volunteers.

I have also been to work whilst a hospital in-patient, and have even arrived at work (and gone back again) in an ambulance. Management were not pleased, but they couldn't stop me working if my consultant said I was fit.

Well, phoned the GP at 8am to make appointment - this number is out of order. So they were NOT amused when I turned up in my nightie (with a fleece on top), with bare feet to make an appointment in person. I pointed out that I need assistance to get up, washed and dressed and that with no assistance available I had no choice but to turn up dressed as I was. I did get my appointment though.

Meeting at the council - created total chaos (as usual). Meeting was supposed to be upstairs, but there is no way that I can be evacuated in the case of an emergency. So meeting had to be moved to a downstairs room. The only problem there is that there isn't a downstairs meeting room big enough. We ended up having to hold the meeting in a local hotel.

Managed to get the bank account sorted out and money paid in, also payment set up so that I can make future transfers online.

Have done some Xmas shopping - online.

Have sorted out eldest son's blue badge and local parking permit.

I am now shattered, so I will probably be asleep within the hour.

I've been off today, walking about with the tens on...sciatica seems better, it's down to a burning pain now, which is bearable, let's see what happens tomorrow at work. Only two more shifts and I'm free!!!!!

going to Ikea on Monday to look for two funky chairs for the kitchen, I hate those things we have now talk about uncomfortable.

Why oh why can't I get OH to make his flippin mind up about stuff. He's dithering over were to go on holiday next year, I've said either peak district or cotswolds, he's the same over anything with a choice!

Glad the TENS is easing the pain CB but please be careful cos as we both know one nip on that nerve and yer back to square one and as for your holiday I'd go peak district just cos I have'nt been for years and would live to go again

Morning all.  It's cloudy here this morning but it mustn't be as cool because there's no condensation on the car.  I think that it will pour down later even though the Met Office have said that it will be dry here today.
