Pork chops casseroled with mixed veggies and additions and 2 chopped dried apricots(didn't want it too sweet for son). It is very sweet so hope he'll eat it. He is having bread, we are having a few potato wedges.

Homemade smoked mackrel pate, melba toast and a bit of salad or maybe smoked duck breast with some red onion marmalade ( a food marriage made in heaven) - or possibly both.

Don't know, came here looking for inspiration.
Still have half a huge joint of applewood smoked ham, should really eat some of that, but don't fancy it with salad, baked/new potatoes/chips etc.
Also don't fancy lengthy cooking session.

I made a Cauliflower and Cheese soup from recipe off the net and it was very nice. I added a few ingredients and served with baked baguette slices with garlic butter and cheese. 🙂 Ready for a nap now. LOL

Sort of back home - consultant has given up, removed catheter, stopped all anti-biotics and is hoping for the best. I have to spend half a day at hossie every 3 days to have blood tests done and the dressing changed, but the rest of the time I am at home, making life difficult for "him indoors". I am however still officially an in-patient, but on "home leave".

Well, sort of. The problem is that with the ongoing kidney infection I have to "go" frequently, I get very little warning, and I can't move fast or easily so I don't always make it in time. The washing machine is never off.
