SATURDAY'S tea thread

Had a Subway salad for my lunch.

 

Tea tonight is cod loins in a lemon butter sauce with new potatoes and sweetcorn and peas.

 

Got a trifle for my tea. The trifle I purchased (which I often get) was from the market as they use synthetic cream. Personally I prefer synthetic cream to real cream...but that is my own taste

 

Remember - it takes 17 muscles to smile and 44 muscles to frown - SO KEEP SMILING 🙂

A couple of duck breasts for me and a cob of corn.  Pizza and spaghetti for him.  Trifle for both!

Rump steak marinated in soy,chilli & garlic &served with peppercorn sauce, chippies, fried onions, mushroom, grilled tomatoes & peas followed by home made rhubarb crumble & custard

Spaghetti with meatballs in an Arriabata sauce with garlic bread ....washed down with a lovely glass of chilean merlot ...nice and peppery .

I just love pasta.....

Oven baked fresh salmon, garden veg and new potatoes followed by apple strudel. 

 

And it was delicious!

we had ribs  in a hoisin, chili, plum , ginger garlicy sauce

 

and spicy wedges  instead of  rice we normally have

stir fry at lunchtime and tonight we had duck eggs scrambled, ooooh boy were they ever good....it's been ages since we had them, they make the best scrambly ever!

We get duck eggs from the farm down the road and I use them to make a Victoria sponge the colour is amazing and it tastes delicious

We had a salad of lettuce, pear, stilton and walnuts tonight. Had soup and a toasted cheese sandwich for lunch.

Life is too short so enjoy it while you can!

We had soup followed by roast beef, turkey, yorkshire pudding and vegetables.  For desert, we had chocolate cake with cream and strawberries.  We were at the wedding after all and the meal was delicious.
