Im watching a programme on Discovery at 4pm in the afternoon called Railroad Alaska. Its somewhere i would love to go. And i would not mind living there since i have apassion for Snow!!!!!. Its about the Railroad workers keeping the train tracks clear in Alaska and also tells the stories of the people who live OFF GRID!, in the wilds so to speak. They have simple houses with generators for the electric ect. They catch the train sometimes once a week or when they need to get to a hospital for appointments and so forth. Its very primitive,,i dont know if id want to be that Primitive all the time but the programme is very interesting!!!. If you like these sorts of countries its one to watch.
oooh I love snow too, I think I'd like to live in a remote town in Alaska, not out in the wilds with only bears for company, I think I'd get a bit too lonely. wherever I lived though I would have to have internet access or I'm not going!!!
They are repeats,,,,well they repeat everything on those channels back to back really. And they have Back to Back days where they show all the episodes straight off!!!!. Someone has a newborn baby and lives out there though. I think thats going a bit too far and is risky!!!. The old couple in it have lived out there for 40yrs OR MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. BLIMEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.. Like that video Cee Dee!!.
A friends son used to be in the Coastguard in Alaska. I don't think they are based there anymore though
