When I got out of bed at 7.30 it was drizzling, then it cheered up for a couple of hours and actually got to see the sun, and now it has gone very overcast yet again. Have prepared all my veg in readiness for Sunday lunch down at my friends. Hopefully if the weather improves it will be a walk in the woods with the dogs....if it is still raining then he can walk the dog whilst I stay in watching TV or reading my book. Back home to watch the results for Strictly and X Factor

Not a bad day here but blowing a bit of a gale. Nothing different planned. Pottering about, sewing & cooking up a load of windfall apples. Problem is the freezer is full. Might have to make chutney instead.

Nice day after all the storms last night. Have been changing cat litter, cleaning out bunnies, feeding and watering everyone, hoovering, everything that needed binning is in the bin...rest of the day will be spent just catching up on things round the house, I think.

Grey and overcast here, not cold though, just finished cleaning the bathrooms, beef is in the oven to cook slowly, will do extra carrots and onions so I can make casserole tomorrow.
Later I am going to go for a long walk with the dogs, unless it is raining then hubby can do it.
Sit down after tea and watch Strictly results.

Ilove2patch - have you got a tried and tested recipe please for using apples in chutney that you could let me have.
Today I made some plum, cranberry and chilli chutney as I have had a glut of plums and no room in the freezer, and could do with a recipe for the apples. I tried some Apple chutney last year but wasn't too keen, hence the request for a tried and tested recipe.
Thanks

Not really, I sort of chuck it In & hope for the best. I use red onions, green tomatoes & sultanas usually along with a few spices. Oh & brown sugar.
