Onesie's

Thinking of treating myself to a Onesie ready for the cold winter evenings; hope they are as cosy as they look. Anyone tried one?

Have a picture of my husband wearing a parrot onesie that we bought for my daughter as a daft present last xmas .....but it is not for general viewing .....even the dog was astonished .....

Not sure they are actually my cup of tea .....bit like a huge babygro .....but babies do not seem to object so they must be comfy enough.

I bought one some 25 years ago, when I lived in a cold draughty house. It's still going strong although admitting I only wear it when it's really really cold.

Very comfortable to wear. BUT usually the coldest room in the house is the bathroom and as you have to totally undress to use the toilet it's not that practical.

Carol....not really thought about it but now you have mentioned it they sound ideal for wearing after a nice hot bath and snuggled up under the duvet.

Remember - it takes 17 muscles to smile and 44 muscles to frown - SO KEEP SMILING 🙂

I have one and I love it! But, rather chilly when you peel it off to go to the ladies! And, if you do get one, make sure it's not got any feet, as they get dirty! ( then again, I do have wooden floors, and dogs!)

Yes, I had wondered about having to take it off to spend a penny etc!! Thanks for the advice about not getting one with feet in  it.

My two youngest have Kigu's (don't know how you spell it) which they gave each other for Christmas.  They are super things - styled as animals!!  Daughter is a kangaroo (with a baby roo in the pouch, awwwwww!) & sons is a .. .. I can't recall, tiger I think?

They are Japanese, & I have seen a few people out in different ones Smiley Very Happy

Son & daughter don't AFAIK wear them outside - just for cosy times indoors

Years ago, when I had baby 2, in a snowy January, & hard on heels of no1 baby,  I got myself a red fleece onesie which really was just a large babygrow.  It was very handy!!  I don't know what happenend to it

I seem to think that someone took it into school or to a party to dress up as Father Christmas, & it didn't return Smiley Sad

CAROL I was also thinking of getting one of these as they do look snug. GO FOR IT. Their quite fun too i think and you can get more sensible looking ones if you want. When i was younger i used to have an all in one without a hood like a big BABYGRO and it was lovely and snug and fleecy. Fleece is so warm it does not even have to be thick fleece either. NICE. ((())). SNUGGLE UP.

daughter had one years ago when she was young, she went to bed in it because it was so warm, but I woke up one night to the sound of crying - found her in the bathroom with a severe upset tummy and blue with cold because she had to strip off to "go". Maybe keep a nice warm cardigan in the bathroom in case of such emergencies?

Well, I've bought one; had to get Leopard print (with a hood) as it was the only one in size medium; other than one that had ears on the hood. So, I will look very "Bet Lynch" LOL  Hope I'm not disappointed with it. And yes, good idea to keep a cardy in the bathroom; thanks. Woman Happy I've told my neighbour not to knock at the door when I'm wearing it. Some things are best kept private!

I've got one made of light jersey material, I don't like the feel of fleece.

I love it apart from the kerfuffle when you have to go loo.

Looks nice Leoleo.  Mine's blue with cats all over it.

When I was on holiday in the summer I almost bought a leopard print one

with a hood and ears, the only reason I didn't is 'cos it had fleece on it

which makes my teetch go on edge!
