Odd Supermarket Pricing

I wanted some immodium, so went straight to the pharmacy counter and asked for some

Box of 12 for £9

Didn`t want that many and asked for a smaller quantity.

The lady told me they had boxes of 6 in the aisle, and kindly showed me where they were

Box of 6 for £3.25

Does that make any sense to you

Well the smaller packs may have been on offer ....who knows..

Its a bit like when you go to Subway and buy something there...sometimes it is cheaper to get a sandwich plus a drink plus a packet of crisps than it is just to get the sandwich and the drink.

It does seem odd ....but it happens quite a lot....

the generic name for imodium is  loperamide hydrochloride and 6 of these capsules can be bought for around 65p in large supermarkets and drugstores.  Our local small chemist sells 30 for £3.50
