I reckon I've seen just about everything now.
Coming back from a bootsale at Broadstairs I pulled into a McDonalds and there, as large as life was a woman in full bridal costume having a Big Mac on a table outside, along with her husband and a couple of guests. Even more amazing was the fact that it was on a SUNDAY!???
What goes, where a marriage takes place on a Sunday? Very odd. I thought most marriages took place on a Saturday. Enlighten me if I'm wrong.

Hi.
Yes i have heard of Sunday marriages. Often cheaper than Saturday ones so getting more and more popular.
Maybe they struck a deal with the Mcdonalds and you will see pictures of them on a billboard outside soon for advertising purposes lol

I was in a fish and chip shop in Blackpool last month when a wedding party came in and had their reception there; the bride was still in the wedding dress so they'd obviously all come straight from the ceremony.

Obviously these couples are on a very tight budget 🙂
If i owned the chippy i would have probably fed them for free as a wedding gift .

A premium for Sundays?
I have two friends who got married on a Sunday and they said it was cheaper. Maybe they meant hiring the reception rooms etc and not the actual ceremonies.
Out of interest is it a standard cost for a Church or Registry Office service or does it vary around the country? (apart from Sundays)

A wedding is 'suppose-to-be' a one-off event. So McDonalds is the perfect venue, because you'd only ever want to go there once Yuk!
