I just wondered which TV programmes you remember from your childhood? I remember Cheyenne Bodie (with Clint Walker), Gilligan's Island, Deputy Dawg, Andy Pandy, Woodentops Spotty Dog, Bill & Ben Skippy The Bush Kangaroo, My Friend Flicka (I think) and Mister Ed. I know there are loads more that I have forgot from the mid 50's to 60's, so maybe you have more suggestions that will remind me?:-)

I remember most of the ones mentioned. A lot from when my children were small. Do you remember Tuesday Rendezvous? It was the ITV version of Blue Peter. I was on that! lol

I remember most of them from when my children were young. I remember Old mother Riley on Saturday morning cinema, or 'pictures' as we called it. It wasn't often I went but it was magical, if a bit loud with hundreds of children shouting and kicking seats!!
We had a radio, I think someone came and swapped the big battery when the old one ran out. I remember (but didn't listen to) Journey into space, In town tonight, Mrs Dale's diary, Worker's Playtime, Wilfred Pickles with Mabel at the table. I could sing all the popular songs word perfect by the time I was 3 or 4 because it was on all day, whatever I was doing.:-x

I remember loving all the westerns. Cheyenne, Bronco, Wagon Train, Tenderfoot, Laramie, The Virginian, Wells Fargo and probably a few more.
Also Mister Ed, Four Feather Falls
Back in the early 1950s, I remember watching something called The Tumbler on great grandmothers 9 inch black and white TV.

Yes, I remember listening to 2 way Family favourites; also my Dad used to insist on Charlie Chester on the radio on a Sunday teatime; I wanted to listen to the top 40 countdown! Was there a "Sam Costa" as well?

The first TV I saw was the Kings funeral..........must have been in 1952.
It was Michael Mitchellmore who did the family favourites...........he had a comb over.
There was Billy Cotton `s Band Show.
also Children`s Favourites on a Saturday morning ..........all together now
Oh the runaway train came the track and she blew
Nellie the elephant packed her trunk and ran away to the circus

CG, I too remember Journey into Space - I LOVED it as a child! Had the pleasure of listening to it again on radio recently, they repeated the lot!
I also remember In Town Tonight - it started with someone blowing a whistle (?) to stop the London traffic we heard at the beginning, and ended with a voice calling "Carry on London" and the traffic noise would start again. As a very gullible child I actually believed the traffic was being stopped for the programme!

I remember all of those!!
Twizzle had a cat called Footso? or something like that. I loved Rin Tin Tin and Champion the Wonder horse.

My daughter Andria now 47.-48 ish (got too many to remember) used to scream her head off at Mary Mungo and Midge , hated all the things happening to the poor little mouse .Martin 45 (ish) loved Stingray until he saw the strings one day and wouldn`t watch it again (sorry to break the news folks, but they WERE marionettes LOL )
