I purchased an Ankle Support Sock (actually for my dog) - to prevent him licking/chewing a sore on the front of his paw. We previously used an ordinary sock which seemed fine, but was more awkward to keep on, so this Support Sock seemed perfect.
However, I have the impression it is causing irritation. Looking at the information on the box it says that some individuals may be sensitive to the rubbers used in the product.
Also adds, not to wear while sleeping, anyone know why this may be? As obviously we have left it on overnight too.
Do hope someone will have experience from using these products, and be able to give some additional advice.
Thank you,
amethyst

i agree with clair i often have to wear one as my ankle gives way were i broke it and i always have to remove at night bacause
a you do not need support at night
b i think it to give your leg skin nerves etc a rest from the pressure
but yes it can become very warm under the support but never having used one on a dog i can only presume it is roughly the same.

Hello Claire, Thank you so much for your response, and explaining what unfortunately I did not understand. It now makes such obvious sense, and I do appreciate helping me to understand.
Grateful thanks,

Hello Cookiecook, Just seen your reply too. Again, my appreciation, what you say makes perfect sense, and I do now feel that the same applies to my dog wearing it. So will now remove and only use for shorter periods of time.
Thank you,
amethyst
