Whhich soap powder do you use? Tablets or powder, golly, it is such an exciting subject. All you hae to do is go into any supermafket and the choice is enough to make your heart race.

I get the huge great big boxes of 2 in 1 from L**l. Costs under 7 quid and lasts us 6 months.

I use merlingoo or ariel liquid or persil liquid. I've seen what the tablets do to your drains!! (that includes dishwasher tablets too) Only liquids for me!

Liquid, mostly biological and often with a scoop of stain remover. Goes straight in the drum, but I only use half of the amount that they tell you too as otherwise the machine gets all clogged up.

Every month or so I do a very hot wash with no detergent, just a spoonful of soda crystals to help clean out any residue.
