I have watched most of his programmes but missed the first one last time. Paul Mertons worlds Biggest Cruise Ship was FANTASTIC in the week. I could not believe the size of that Liner. It really did look like a Tower block afloat, and so much to see and do. I want to cruise on this!!!. i think this one was only a week but packed with adventures. Woman Happy

Sorry, but that's my idea of a holiday from hell - a floating tower block.

This is the one I'm saving for

I've already done a couple of short sailings on a tall ship, loved it!

You are right they do look more like flats than boats.  Enormous great ugly things.  Bring back the QE2 or Canberra.  If you go on one give us a wave as you go past.

Been on a couple of the biggies (just to look!) & found they are much to big & impersonal. We always book on the Thomson Dream, holds just 600, had everything you want & is never overcrowded

My son lived on this boat, so when he went on holiday he took his home with him!

That had engines.  It was a 36ft 6/8 berth Westerley Corsair.  He lived on it in the dock for a couple of years or so.  As soon as he'd passed his sailing exams he was off across the North Sea to Norway and Denmark!  It's a wonder I'm not a lot greyer than I am!!  He met a nice Dutch girl there called Mareike and she came and lived with him for quite a while.  I re-covered all the seat cushions on that boat.  What a job as they were all different shapes and sizes, especially the ones that all went together to fit the bows!!Smiley Surprised

I know what you mean about the funny shaped cushions. I had ours done by someone a lot cleverer than me! lol Ours didn't have one of those big sticks on top with flappy things! They are scary! lil

No, not scary.  That's the bit you use when the engines break down.  Knew quite a few older sailors back in the 70s who had a stick and used to put the white things up but never, ever turned the engine off - just in case!
