Re: July MDCC

I use My Hermes - mostly because they have a drop-off point in the shop across the road - the shop that is "open all hours", so parcel can be dropped off whenever convenient, even on Sunday evening after mdcc finishes. It used to be cheaper if you dropped your parcels off, but I think that they have revised their prices it costs the same regardless of whether you drop the parcel off or if they collect it.

I use the drop off method because it is a bit quicker, and also it saves me having to have someone hanging around waiting for them to collect. However, if there isn't a convenient drop-off point close to you, if you place the "order" before 9pm, they will collect the next day.

I have never had a problem with them, if you give them the email address of your customer they will send them an email telling them when to expect delivery.

You do have to create an account with them, but that is really easy.

As for how long it takes to get there, I have dropped off a parcel on Sunday evening, and it has been delivered over 150 miles away on Monday afternoon.

You can put in your listing that you will be sending by courier, so that customers know how long the parcel should take to arrive. It is worth stating that the parcel will need to be signed for.

You do need to have a working printer so that you can print out the address label.

Re: July MDCC

Bessie cost £5 or £6 to post, it's not the weight but the size isn't it and there's no point in spending time and money on making something, to then squash it and ruin it.  It's lovely CK. Smiley Very Happy

Re: July MDCC

Ellie's Rainbow Garden Fund

For Dumfries & Galloway Canine Rescue Charity no: SCO31991

A message from Ellie's mum to explain about this special cause:

Ellie was my one lifetime furry friend, who sadly I lost recently.

I wanted to do something in her memory,  & as we were long term supporters of Dumfries & Galloway Canine Rescue kennels, it seemed appropriate to combine the two, hence the idea of a Rainbow Garden was born.

The current Garden of Remembrance is in desperate need of a total make-over.

Everybody smiles when they see a rainbow, & that's what we want when we see our new Rainbow Garden.

Although this fund-raising is with the Kennels' consent, it is an independant appeal, hence being called Ellie's Fund.

( I hope this helps CK )  xheart
