It's Come Around Quickly - Last Day Tomorrow

Tomorrow is the last official day of my job, though I will be doing a job for

them one day in August,  providing they still have a coach for me to do it in.

It's a bit sad, the end of an era.  Today I've been clearing out the lost property

box and seeing if there are any useful things that have been hanging about

for years that I could make use of.  I gained a rather ludicrous hat for hubby

and a bit of old coach seat material to make a cushion for my cats!

Schools break up tomorrow, well most of them, then, after weeks of

hardly having time to draw breath it'll go quiet, non-existent in fact,

until September when I start at the coach firm next door.

oh I know how you feel fishy, had a job once and got made redundant....there I was organising the removal of all the office furniture to another part of the country when I was sat all alone on the office carpet, it suddenly hit me, the end of an era.

I feel for you and hope that you have many years of enjoyment in your new job xx

Aw Fishy don't be sad. Spend some time recharging your batteries & making some beautiful fused glass while you have the time to do it.:)

I agree with Maggie Fishy, take it easy for a bit.  September will soon come round, bet you'll be their star driver in no time

Oh we've had a good day really, been pottering about at the depot and driving

the school buses on the last day of the year.  There was a water fight on the

coach going home, I just thought what the heck, as long as it is only water

it'll do no harm as it'll dry in no time in the heat.

We took photos of each other with our favourite coaches and ate lots of

cake.

I do actually have one more job during August, taking a regular customer on

a trip to the seaside.  But I will be the only one there so this was my last official

day.

I do look forward to the next era and consider myself very lucky I have a new

job to go to.  In the meantime, yes, I will be doing lots of lovely stuff with my

son and hubby, and some stuff with just myself, and creating fused glass

creations a-plenty!

Must be a sad time for you Fishy.  I'm pleased that you've got another job though.  Well done for that.  In the meantime, you have a good rest and do what you want.
