Looking at those photos CG, it looks like spring has sprung. We've got a few snowdrops and crocuses out at the moment.

I hope you won't mind a little diversion before I get back to "Spring"?
All last year I've been watching the antics of birds on a local lake and in particular some Coot which I'll come back to in a mo.
Late in the year some Mallard had a very late brood of twelve Ducklings which gradually got whittled down to two who're now fully fledged and can fly.
I've been feeding them today (not bread!) and I spotted the Coot who's been there all Winter (I call it "Diver" because it's always diving) and watching it paddling away from me (it's afraid of humans now because it got hooked by one of the danglers!) I looked and......... What's that? There on last years Coot nest is another Coot.
I hope they don't think Spring has sprung because if they hatch a brood too early they won't survive.
It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.
Live long and prosper.

We've got blue t*ts very interested in the nest boxes too.
And all sorts of flowers that shouldn't really be out!
