I would never have believed it if ...........

I had not seen it with my own eyes !

Threads last posted on in June still on the first page in FHG !

I find that quite depressing so may take the easy way out and be like the rest and stop visiting this forum.

To anyone who reads this thread A Very Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year when it comes.

Yes, hard to believe, isn't it? I keep looking because I'm the eternal optimist, and I always have to be reading something.  It does seem a waste of time some days though!  Thanks for the good wishes, and the same to you.

Haven't been around for a few years but I'm surprised how quiet the board has become, gosh you couldn't keep up with it at one time it moved that fast. Facebook has a lot to answer for lol

It would be nice to see the board busy again.

I don't think it's my imagination but all the boards are getting quieter.  I've been reading them for about four years, first Buyer Central then Seller Central and Business Seller Board.

It seems to me that now, if you take out the threads about scamming buyers / sellers and glitches,  there's not a lot left.

OK ebay hasn't done anything much that has upset a lot of people recently so the many threads (often long running) about orange blobs, lost status, unfair defects, even FVF on P&P have gone.  But the number of "New to ebay" type questions seems to have shrunk.  So have the number of general interest / social threads, I think.

I only started looking at Ebay Cafe a few months ago when the main boards got so slow moving and frankly boring, just the same problems again and again.

Are the boards becoming like FB, people just not bothering?  FB is meant to be about community safety (not just a way of punishing sellers), if people can't be bothered to help maintain safety on here do they care about "the community" at all?  Can they be bothered to join in discussions about anything other than their most recent problem buyer / seller or lost / stolen parcel?

I don't reply to nearly as many threads as I did two or three years ago.  Gone are most of the discussions where many people had a wide range of views on a subject and exchanged those views.  These days I rarely visit Buyer Central, a continuous litany on scamming sellers.  I go to the selling boards to check what problems the site has each day but again don't post much on their litany on scamming buyers, it's too depressing.

Perhaps it's something to do with moving the link to the bottom of the page, perhaps the move to buying / selling by mobiles.  Can you even see the link on a mobile?

Thanks for the Christmas wishes, hope you have a ggod one too.
