.... due to lack of traffic.  And I think the first sign is making it more difficult for newbies to find the "Community" pages.

Exactly.  Is that why eBay deleted the "Community" tag from the top of the page, and put it at the bottom - where it's less conspicious - so fewer members will see it?

It's only the on-line equivalent of meeting your mate in Sainsbury's or something and deviding you'll have a coffee and chat. What's wrong with that? Some folk aren't lucky enough to be able to get out and about regularly to socialise face to face, they are often very isolated both emotionally and physically, and derive much pleasure from chatting on the community boards. If we wish we can just do the ebaying and not the community thing, so it's not compulsory just as having coffee in the shopping centre isn't.

I class everyone on here as friends.  As I've said many a time on this board, we all may act daft but we are always here for one another.  I wouldn't have it any other way.

Well Ebay do a lot of things for reasons only known to them.   Also some of these Ladies on here make wonderful creations to sell for charity via Ebay, they also give comfort and laughs to those that need it.  So imho thats what being part of a community is all about.
