I'm right fed up now!!!!!!!!

rang the hospital today to see what date in Nov I'd be going in.

I'm not on the Nov list evidently this foot is down as a routine op (see not as exciting as the other foot was?????) so he has tons of them to do. Seems he sets the list and the secretary can't alter it. I've to ring back in the middle of Nov to see if I'm on the Dec list or  not.

I'm a tad upset as now I have to put up with the pain for another month or more. Ho hum.....onward and upward

seems a bit pathetic to post this really when rainy is in hospital having much worse done to her...bless

Captain - ask the secretary to arrange an urgent outpatient appointment to see him - then when you go you need to bawl your eyes out. Tell it like it is, how much pain you are in, and how your job makes it so much worse. Ask why it isn't a priority and tell him how upset and disappointed you are that it won't be done in November.

Ask for a sick note and tell him that you are in far too much pain to be able to work, that you will have to be off sick until it is done - you don't actually have to go off sick unless you want to.

Actually that is a fair point Stroppy, a friend of mine had waited for a long time to have something done to her hand and she did that as she couldn't work because the job involved using her hand, don't most jobs, I think the more you create the better it is, the trouble is we are all too nice to make a fuss, so make a fuss you deserve it.

I asked her about that when I rang in October to see if I was on that list! never mind the Nov one. She said if they cancel an op it has to be replaced with the same op ie if they cancel a hip op then they have to call in someone who is waiting for the same op. Well, there won't be that many osteotomy's will there?? she has me down for a quick admission but I'm not holding my breath.

yes, grumpy, I know there are others in more pain, there will always be people in more pain than me. It's just that the consultant told me he would call for me in a couple of weeks and he didn't, now I find I'm being missed off the list, it's just a bit disappointing.

If you lived nearer Rose, I'd have that cake thankyou!!
