I'm a bit speechless (which is unusual!)

We keep lots of chickens and we sell the eggs from a trolley in the front garden.  We get various people, mostly in cars that drive in and buy the eggs, leaving the money in an honesty box.  We were both surprised just now when a hearse stopped at the end of the drive and a chap in the full undertaker's clothes walked up the drive, got some eggs and walked back down again.  Fortunately the back of the hearse appeared to be empty!!

Hubby said he thought it had come for him,  a little early!!

maybe he wanted a few  for the  glorious revolution on the 25th may

hard boiled eggs

The Glorious Twenty-Fifth of May

The 25th of May is quietly celebrated by the survivors of the People's Revolution, which ended the reign of Lord Winder. They wear a sprig of lilac and gather at the Small Gods Cemetery to honour the Watchmen who fell: Cecil Clapman, Ned Coates, Dai Dickins, John Keel, Horace Nancyball, Billy Wiglet, and (albeit temporarily) Reg Shoe.

In the Round world (following Terry Pratchett's diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease), Match It For Pratchett has called on fans to wear lilacs on 25 May in support of Terry

The slogan of the People's Revolution is "Truth, Justice, Freedom, Reasonably Priced Love, and a Hard-Boiled Egg!"

its in Terry Pratchett's  Nightwatch  book

that really made me laugh. we too sell our surplus eggs and have had some very strange things happen during the process but never an undertaker! Had a tourist knock the door to tell me that I charge too much but he would buy some anyway, 3 foreign tourists wanting 1 egg each and could I put them in seperate boxes, a camper van whose occupants didn't want any eggs but could we fill their water tanks for them - I could go on and on!
