We recently fitted black sparkle gloss worktops everything was fine until my wife placed a basin of hot water on the worktop overnight. In the morning once it was moved it left a white ring on the worktop, I have tried everything to remove the mark even t-cut, any ideas how to remove the mark.
Thanks, Alan

What kind of surface is it ? Granite, quartz or a composite ?
Depending on the type I would contact your installer or supplier and ask their advice - I would be wary about harsh chemicals and abrasives on granite or quartz as if you remove the sealant the sparkles can come loose as they have been embedded into the marble and sealed so you dont want to make the problem worse
When I had my quarz worktop installed the installers damaged a small section and the result was some of the mirror pieces coming out leaving small indents or pits - I had to have a whole section removed and replaced as there was no way to repair it - thankfully the installation team were liable !

Hello OP,
When I bought my knew hotpoint cooker the manufacturer recommended that a special ceramic hob cleaner be used as it is gentle but very good for all kinds of marks, you could try it on your worktop as it is non abrasive.
