Has been bright and sunny here today. I bet it was cold out, but since the duvet and I haven't parted company all day that didn't bother me. Now is is blowing a gale and throwing it down.
We had a power cut on Sunday evening - not for long, but the laptop threw a hissy fit and it took ages to sort it. The fax machine has also refused to work ever since.

It's blowing a right gale here at the moment. It's just got worse as the day has gone on. According to the Met Office website, we are going to have the same for the next few days. Yuk.
Hope that you get your fax machine sorted soon Stroppy.

My Yahoo is back now. The weather is bad here & they are closing the beach roads again. It sounds awful out there!

Take care Maggie. Weather really bad here too, but at least we are a long way from the sea. My Yahoo internet is ok now but if I swich off it might not come back on again. Email still not working.

Books - I have persuaded "himself" to ditch the fax machine - we hardly ever use it and the few documents that we do send by fax can be scanned and emailed. Have moved the unused cordless phone from the spare bedroom to the living room to replace it.

Just checked and I can check my Yahoo mail.
Take care Maggie. I just hope that everyone stays safe.

I take it you've not got the wind yet CB. It's terrible here but I think we don't have it as bad as other parts of the country.

I read that so wrong 😞
Not windy here but is persistantly percipitating on us

Just realised that I should have phrased it differently. I should have said 'I take it you haven't got the gales yet'.

Absolutely awful in Cornwall, but it has quietened down a bit from a couple of hours ago, the wind was so loud we had to shout at each other to be heard (and that was indoors) and the rain - pelting down and hammering against the windows. Lots of trees down and more flooding. Windspeeds in excess of 80 miles and hour recorded down on the south coast of Cornwall and over that on the Scillies. They are saying it will calm down a little overnight and then come back with a vengance again tomorrow afternoon.
Fortunately we still have power, they upgraded all the lines on our lane 18 months ago, and cross fingers, we have been fine since, the lights have dimmed a couple of times but that's all.

Absolutely dreadful here in S.Wales (not that we aren't used to it though). Belting down with rain, really cold and blowing a gale. My wheelie bin blew over twice.

What a day/ night here in Somerset, I'm so sick of it as I'm sure everyone else is...

Morning all. Took me ages to get to sleep last night due to the wind. As some of you know, I like in a bungalow. Our bedrooms are south facing and that's where the wind was coming from.
