However I would imagine that celebrations are now rather low down the list due to the serious accident that happened in Glasgow overnight. My thoughts are with the Scots this morning.

tintin, I know exactly what pub it is and although there may very well be serious injuries or sadly fatalities the only good thing that can be said is, it is not a really an in place so would not have had a lot of young gentleman and ladies on a night out. It is more a drinkers pub if you know what I mean.

Here is hoping there are no serious injuries or fatalities.

When I started this thread, I didn't know about the tragedy in Glasgow.  The television was on in the locker room and the story was the only one being covered by the news.  I feel heartily sorry for what's happened and my heart goes out to the families and friends of all those affected.

All the public celebrations were cancelled and the flags are all at half mast.
Corgi the Clutha is old-fashioned drinking man's type pub, but it has become a very popular live music venue, and it was standing room only on Friday night. And although any loss of life is one too many, it is a miracle more were not killed or injured.
I think it is safe to say the city is in shock, with our thoughts and prayers going to all those affected.
