I have just come back from seeing my mum and dad, delivered handmade card and plants for the garden.  My son was asleep when I left so I thought I would get my card when he woke up, nope, he said they were too expensive and didn't have any money, managed to go out last night though.  He picked me up a small bar of reece peanut chocolate for 29p. Thanks son, I love you too, 22 years old ha, OH is really cross with him, and I am quite upset,  now he is feeling really guilty and is coming up with all these ideas what to buy me, when he gets paid, like a kindle or new camera, neither of which I need thinks he can buy me off with expensive presents,  not interested now, it's too late,  didn't even offer to do the dishes before he went out again.

Sorry feeling sorry for myself.  At least I made my mums day special.

Oh ed I'm so sorry, don't be sad he loves you really I'm afraid he's just a typical young lad , only has thoughts for himself, I hope he puts it right for you. I wish you happy Mothering Sunday . Sandra.

I know he loves me, he does tell me, he is just thoughtless, apparantly my fault according to my husband as I do everything for him, clean up after him, think for him. Just feeling sorry for myself, 2 friends of mine have sons the same age, and they are taking their mothers out for lunch, so that makes it seem worse.  I will be fine tomorrow.

Well it's understandable that you spoil him as you explained the other week, but regardless of that , he could at least have gotten you a card. Do you want me to come round & teach him some manners for you? lol. Sandra .

I think he will be fed up by the end of the day, OH has been bombarding him with text messages all afternoon and I think he has put something on FB as well.  Never mind all done now.

Son has just told me he is going to get me something superb when he gets paid. Still doesn't understand it isn't monetary value that I want, it is the thought.  Kids eh.

I'm afraid young or old men don't understand how we work do they, a cuddle & a peck on the cheek would have been more meaningful than an expensive present. Bless ya gel , give him a kick on the shins from me! lol.

I would have loved a cuddle and a kiss, but then that would have been embarassing.  A thanks mum for all that you do for me would have been nice too. I wasn't bothered about presents or even a card, would of been nice if he had stayed in and eaten with us.  hey ho .
