At 8am.
Oh do come in I said you are most welcome to see that I have not got a TV!!
They did not want to come in but the guy obviously thought I was a bit weird to not have a telly.
I told him I watch BBC Iplayer once a week for The Apprentice. Occasionally I watch other sporadic stuff also on Iplayer. It is allowed to watch iplayer without a licence. You are just not allowed to watch any programmes being shown in real-time including the news. I read the news usually on the BBC website or as I am out in the van most days catch it then.
I told him that I work 7 days, read books and listen to music and if I am not doing any of that then I am normally out or asleep! He was ok and did not hassle me.
I don't miss a telly one bit but seemingly I am in a tiny minority of people in the country not to have one and of those they appear to remain constantly suspicious 😐

Gosh...........well done.
I couldn't live without my TV but hats off to you for living without one.

My sister & BIL don't have a TV. They play DVD's & videos & are happy with that. I would miss my Sky like a limb! :^O

Me too. Not quite so much now I've got the computer, not for watching iplayer but for chatting etc., but I think TV can be very interesting, educational and stimulating. I don't think it's a bad thing, used properly.

I don't have a Tv either, gave mine up a couple of years ago & don't miss it one bit. I follow a couple of programs online, but I def don't miss the endless flicking when nothing is on! Had a hells job convincing the TV Licence people that I didn't have one, or even an aerial!

I would happily get rid of the telly in our house..
Think I might have a riot on my hands from the family if I tried it!

I think it's a man thing Capt....OH used to do that as well....he'd end up watching everything and nothing....:^O
And then complain that there was never anything good on telly and nothing made sense any more :^O :^O :^O

God I think they all do that 😐
My ex was the same. I can't remember when we ever watched a programme all the way through. Then if I was ever working from home and had Vintage TV music channel on in the background he would come home from work and say I'm switching this rubbish off 😐
I used to like the music channels, but now I just play albums on Youtube which was a good find!
I did catch up The Apprentice tonight. Its really hard though not to find out in the meantime who got fired but I managed it this week! I will also watch that mad programme The Call Centre.
Wimbledon might be the only problem. Might have to take up residence at my friends house which will be ok if I take a bottle of gin and maybe some strawberries!!

There are never any problems with us because we have separate TVs in separate rooms!! He's only just got in tonight so his TV won't even go on, he's playing sudoku on his computer, again, separate computers in separate rooms. He puts 'my' TV on in the kitchen when he gets up at 5am and it doesn't go off again until I put it off around midnight, even if we go out! I don't watch it all day, it's just there in the background. 🙂

It took years before the licensing bods stopped sending me threatening letters and knocking at my door but they finally took the hint and all I do now is tell them I have no TV every couple of years.
Snag was I no longer had someone to enjoy being unpleasant to.

We don't have one either, and our internet time's PAYG which is a good disincentive.
We do cheat though because if there’s anything we really want to see friends will record t for us.
We’ve not had one for so long now, I think they’re beginning to accept it.
