Glasses Help

I had a new  pair of glasses last year, my second pair since i started wearing specs. I only need to wear them for reading at the moment but they told me probably next time i might need to wear them all the time maybe. Thing is i have my old ones as spares but find i can see the computer with the old ones but the new are slightly too fuzzy. The new are fine for reading though. My first ones had an anti glare put on for computer use but even these are causing a bit of a brightness which is making my head feel slightly funny. :-(. I do not know whether just to take the new ones back and maybe have them adjusted for computers and maybe an anti glare on them but would this come under my guarantee?. Well its only got a 30 day guarantee so if i had to go back now and get them adjusted ( i got these ones in september last year) would i have to pay something again?. Im not sure about this.?. Has anyone experience of this with their glasses?. 🙂

Hi, I wear reading glasses too. I was advised to wear them to see anything within an arms length. Maybe your computer is bordering this distance and causing the difference beween specs.

I can see to read and my laptop with my glasses well, but closer things like sewing, knitting etc I find harder to see.

I think it's worth going back to your optician and discussing your concerns. I think it will depend on the optician too, if you need to pay for any changes to your lenses. But you may not, so it's worth asking 🙂

Reading glasses are distance dependant.  My computer glasses are very weak, my reading glasses are the strongest I can find without precription glasses. If I go to prescription I will go varifocals but I really don't want the expense ((((Poundland))))) ))))hubbies with big heads who "borrow" glasses and babes who bend and chew them((((( and would probably need to wear them all the time, which would mean glasses instead of contact lenses which would raise a whole new can of worms.  Wonders if my optician has finally retired - really don't want to break a new one in!.

Yes i should have gone back really straight away when my updated ones were a bit funny for computer. i did tell them i go on pc a lot though as well as read a  lot. I rang them but they said i would have to pay now again for new lenses, i suppose as it is aout of guarantee. My fault. i have my first ones on and am a bit closer today. Yesterday i felt a bit sick and it was making my head hurt. But then again i had a Migraine last week and its taken a while to get over it, sometimes it can make me sicky and sore eyed for days afterwards. this could be the cause. Its a bit better this morning. 🙂

Glasses Help

I can sympathise..

I work on a checkout, and after an 8 hour shift my eyes are red and sore! Thing is, if I wear my glasses, that I use for driving and tv, I cannot see the screen on checkouts! I have tried just magnifying glasses to see if that would help, but it doesn't , because I can see the screen perfectly without them, so think its just the amount of time staring at the screen rather than my eyes being bad.
