Some of you may know that I was a volunteer at the Commonwealth Games this year. Well the volunteers wanted to do something for the Yorkhill Children's Hospital. A group got together and decided to bid on one of the Clyde's that had been used. The one they wanted was the Clyde signed by Sir Chris Hoy and had been on display in the Accreditation and Uniform Centre at the Kelvinhall - as all the volunteers had passed through the centre to get their uniform etc that seemed appropriate.
Today the group heard that the Glasgow 2014 auction had deciced the group could have the Clyde to give to Yorkhill, so all the money raised (currently over £4000) will be going to Yorkhill too.
Big win/win for Yorkhill!
Big thanks to the auction and to all the volunteers who have and are still donating

That's brilliant news. I think that the money is going to a good cause.
