I was wondering if anyone can recommend any types of garden screening?
I am wanting to screen off my front garden at the flat. I am only allowed a fence 1m high but am allowed to add higher bushes or screening. So the plan is to have it about 1.8m tall and attach to the existing low fence.
I was thinking that screening would be an easier option maybe the types on a roll like willow or bamboo etc.
I also saw some 'fern' screening which is a pretty dark brown colour but there were varying reviews. Some people said it was see through and had to be doubled up.
Also I guess its important to that the screening has galvanised wire through it so that it does not rust.
I need a roll out type of screening so that I can easily take it with me if I move from the flat.
If anyone has any advice about types of this screening I would be most grateful - thank you x

We bought the roll out type willow screening £25.00 for 8feet wide 5 feet tall, to join to a low fence while we saved up to buy new fencing. We have just taken it down now 7 years later and basically it fell to bits, the galvenised metal just broke,
I would say that as a temporary measure it is great but don't bank on it being easy to remove. plants get tangled up in it. But we did have it up for 7 years.

Good advice thank you. I might go for some bark screening. Not hugely expensive but will mean that I can use the front garden. Will be moving the rabbits down to the flat and dont want them being seen from the road. x

i have used willow round my balcony from a roll but you need a couple of layers to screen off for privacy, thats the only thing but it does look nice and you can get it cheaply fom W****os lol, lol,.

if you want to take it with you when you move how about that woven hazel panel you can get? the cane stuff will be the most private though and even if it only lasted a year or two £25 sounds like a fair amount for that time, ie £12.50 a year, that's the price of two plants say isn't it?
I know the woven hazel or willow panels are more expensive but you wouldn't be able to see through those and if you are taking it with you, you may be prepared to splash out a bit with the dosh.
