c8bof - you do have an eye for a photo - there is absolutely nothing wrong with your photos - they are beautiful :)

Mary - you're awfy kind, but I've been cherry-picking these ones out of hundreds! I've no idea how to edit the random signs, tops of heads, noses, etc, that tend to get into the pictures. I've only got Microsoft Picture Manager (? I think that's what it's called) - am i better to use this or photobucket to edit?

I've found previously that Photobucket tended to cause an error with IE, so I've been uploading these pics to Tinypic.

PS the sunlight on the water in 1769 is glorious - looks as if it's been painted on!

Believe it or not I do very little editing - I use an old version of Paint Shop Pro which wont work on Vista so I have to do all this chained to hubby's computer. The new Paint Shop Pro is now owned by Corel and they have ruined it so I wont buy it. I have an editing tool on Vista but haven't got to grips with it.

All I do is a little cropping, contrast and saturation levels and that is about it. The only thing I have removed is a crane that was in one of my Florence photos right in the river!!

I don't edit on photobucket as it isn't that reliable.

I am cherry picking my photos as well you know - I have taken nearly 1600 photos from this holiday and I am only showing what I consider to be the best on here which really isn't that many!!

I like the one of Naples, my ex girlfriend came from there and spent some great holidays there, unfortunately when she decided to go back I couldn't and that was that, we still keep in touch though. All the photos are great from both of you. I am now looking forward to some good winter weather to get some good shots
