She's my sisters Momma. Comes here for a holiday. She will be coming around the 11th Feb for a week.
So will my hubby's two daughters, four grandchildren (boys ages 10 to 15) his brother and nephew. :_|
I've only just realised that Bonnie will be here as well, which means we have to leave the bedroom door open as she sleeps on the floor next to hubby and flits up and down stairs for 5 minutes before settling.

I was sitting here thinking of joining the local camera club next Wednesday but am having a crisis of confidence. I have never belonged to a club or anything before and don't know what to expect and what if they think my photos aren't good enough or laugh at them. I am full of worry about it and wonder why am I thinking of going if I am this stressed about it but I know it would be good for me as I don't go out a lot as I don't work and I will learn new things which will be excellent but just worried.
What do you think - please give me an honest opinion because I would prefer that :)

Mary, you take great photos and you probably could learn a lot more about the various aspects of photography. I doubt anyone would laugh at you etc etc but I do understand your fears. However these clubs rely on new members and if they were to treat people like that they wouldn't last long. Have you not got anyone who could go with you (friend/relative) on the first visit just to give you some support???

Mary. No-one could possibly laugh at your photos. The good side to joining a club is that you will get lots and lots of help to gain better pictures.

It is either going to go one of two ways - either it will be great or just full of 80 year olds who haven't heard of digital cameras. Well you are going to the right place to learn more. The moving water photos are the result of me experimenting from techniques I have read in photography mags and were my first attempts which I am quite happy with. I might look for a local club too.

Trawler Race Day - like the lighting and the effect on the picture just after early morning fog had finally cleared
Once again, fog and an Easterly Force 5 makes for an interesting picture - thank goodness for a photo straightening suite as this was taken hanging from the rigging of another boat at a 45 degree angle!
