This is about the only decent photo that was left on my Olympus. See how bad the focussing is?

It isn't a bad photo Dave - it is very rural and tells a story of days gone by :)

It's weird how parts of the foreground are out of focus (as they should be) but parts of the background are too.:|

Thanks Merlin 🙂

I wont be posting any photos tonight as I have had a bad headache and had a sleep for a couple of hours and tonight I am going to the Boots evening so too busy today however I should be back to doing them tomorrow!!!

Dave - at this size I can't see the focusing problems so it is obviously something you can see at a larger size. I don't know why you would have in and out of focus areas both in the foreground and background and I hope someon on here with more expertise will be able to help :)

I have never cheated insurance companies - I am also far too honest. Hubby once made a house fall down and honestly told them how he had done it so didn't get a penny - we is honest people - :_|

Sorry it has now died - reckon you know what to put on the Christmas list to Santa :)

Is that the Fuji S5800?

Certainly has good reviews and I know that I always got good results from both my Fujis. The last one I had was the S5000 which my daughter now uses and gets very good photos from. 🙂

Or have you now opted for the Canon?
