That camera has cracking reviews. Make sure whatever you buy you have a good feel of it first as that can make or break the relationship :)

Thanks both.:-)

It is towery but I'm going to go to Jessops first to have a look then buy one over the net.;-)

Oh's dad has a canon and it seems a good camera too although his is a lower spec than the one I want.

Canon is a good name and a good camera but I think you will know the 'one' when you hold it in your hands. I was tossing up between a Canon and a Nikon but when it came to it although the spec was so similar there was just something about the Nikon when I held it that felt right :)

I don't have so many Croatian ones because it poured with rain that whole day - really dark and gloomy 😞

I will keep posting though but as that was near the end of the holiday you might have a long wait as I have so many hundreds more photos to edit!!

We went to Split and then about an hour in land to a 'typical' Croatian restaurant for lunch and then returned the same way. I have to say out of all the excursions we went on it was the most poorly organised. I don't suppose the weather helped. As I have been to Croatia before (dubrovnik) I know how lovely the area is so I was disappointed they thought they could fob us off with a short trip inland to a restaurant that was so obviously catering for parties of tourist coaches that was about as authentic as a pair of dentures. It was such a shame because for some people that will be there only view of Croatia and there is so much more to the country than that.

😞 That is a shame coz Split is really beautiful. Am surprised they didn't take you round the Islands too. They are really stunning.

We only had about nine hours in port so I suppose time was precious and we had a choice of excursion but there was not a big choice. Such a shame because my husband has never been there before and I had built it up after my previous holiday and now he has a clouded view of Croatia. As far as the weather is concerned this must be the wet season. It was October I went before and in 14 days we had about 20 thunderstorms and constant rain!!

Thanks Merlin 🙂

It is staggering how much it leans but I think it is quite secure so will be around for a long time to come. Lets face it, there is little else in Pisa so if that collapsed their tourist trade would disappear. In Venice, there were many leaning towers as well which we were surprised about.

I will be editing more photos this afternoon so further ones will be posted :)

The above photo was The Forum in Rome. The next one is the Trevi Fountain and it was so much bigger than I ever thought 🙂
