Be careful of emails that look like they are from paypal
I had one today, a receipt for a payment I had not authorised or made.
A couple of allerting flags
The from field only said paypal and did not include the service bit
The email included a link to click if payment not authorised.
I have forwarded this to spoof

I compared it to one I know to be genuine.
My full name is stated in the real one, but not in the scam one.
You always need your wits about you, it is so easy to think
"That is not mine" and make a knee jerk reaction to click the dispute link
I didnt, I went to paypal by the normal route and the payment was not there.

I normally report them to spoof@paypal.com and then I'll delete the one purporting to come from Paypal.

I'm having a spate of these
The wording is very stilted
It's English, Cap'n, but "not as we know it"
I send them to spoof - only once have I had a reply, saying that the information I forwarded was very useful & that avenue had been closed
There are patently many other "avenues"
