I know what you mean CB. Have you ever been to watch it live? We've been three times and the atmosphere is brilliant.

My son went to a Scottish Uni and when it came to graduation day ...........................................
PHWORRRRRRRRRRR
I found myself having to watch where me eyes kept lowering to.
I should add that my son wore a suit with trousers - I realised as I hit 'Post' that it might not come out the right way.

We went many years ago (before children), would love to go again but I'm not sure about managing with the wheelchair - it does complicate arrangements.
I might look at it after my op is done and I know how mobility will be affected

I have only been to the Tattoo once and agree with all that has been said.
It is so atmospheric, the way the ramparts are all lit, and all the flags flying.
They do have arrangements for wheelchair users Stroppy, but you'd have to endure that bumpy ride, over cobbles, up the wee hill.
I am an hour away from Edinburgh, visitors welcome!

Rose, come to Wales. More crackin' castles than you can shake a stick at.
Thats the only one out of the four(England,Ireland,Scotland,Wales) that ive not visited yet!!!. I did not realize Wales would be a Castley place so to speak. I like the Mediaeval Spirit and the Gypsyish sort of feel around Castles. Ill have to come and visit then!!.
