Decided To Organise A Barn Dance In Aid Of Tsunami Appeal

That way we can give a little more and can all have a jolly good giggle too. If anyone lives in Essex and wants to come, I'll keep you posted as to when, where etc.

Off to start putting plan into action (and finish cleaning my windows!).

Thanks for all your support everyone. Pity it's too far for most.

If I organised a coach, it would take about a week to do all the pick-ups - ahh, that's it - a barn-dance crawl!!!

Now I'm getting carried away....

A string of barn dances, perhaps? One in the North, one in South, East, West, Midlands etc or, failing that, I'll tell everyone when it is and you can all donate so much to jig about to a Country&Western CD in your living room and eat fish & chips out of the paper!!

He he, sorry I haven't been carried completely away yet!!

Could have synchronised barn dancing! Well... lots of events organised around the country anyway 😉 We could have one in old eBay land too! I know Henry is partial to a barn dance. Could it be the cider that normally comes with it? hehe

Who's thighs? Your own or each other's?!

I'm still waiting for my excellent barn-dancing friends to e-mail me back. Obviously not so good at e-mailing as they are at barn-dance-arranging! Methinks I shall have to phone them later.

I used to go to young farmers (quite some time ago!!)
The barn dances (shed shuffles) were great! Used to have so much fun.............................

now - hubby hates things like that and all my old mates live miles away!:-(

Oh for the days of old.....................yeeeeeha!

The group that I'm hoping to do this one used to do a barn dance in an actual barn every summer. Loads of us used to go in a coach and it was hilarious fun. They also did one every new-year's eve which we also took about 30 people to in a coach. Those were the days - getting all nostalgic! Now they do mainly private hires with about 3 gigs & dances per year.

Used to love barn dances but quit a long time ago.
It was organised along with a DIY BBQ and one fire got knocked over into the bales of straw for sitting on!
First fire engine on the scene skidded and demolished my car!
Would not have minded too much but my steak was burning to a coal and they would not let me near to grab it.
Taxi home and a bacon butty as a substitute.
The firemen saved the barn and nobody was hurt, so a good night was had by all...
