Yours is behind the hunk, huggles. You didn't think I was going to block him out with a picture of me pole dancing, did you?B-)

Glad that your home CG. I'd love a woman that does but my mum and myself manage to do it between us with me doing the bulk of it. Did some housework this morning and some gardening this afternoon and I'm shattered. Never mind.
Don't start running round too soon CG.

Chance would be a fine thing books. I am struggling along on two crutches. If I haven't got the crutches it's almost impossible to move. I have a gadget called a 'leg-up' No huggles, leg UP I said!X-( Which you hook round your foot and lift it into bed or onto a stool.
The worst thing though is getting in or out of a car!:_|

Why do you always assume I will make a comment! 😮 It's Stan who usually does! I is a lady!

cg has anybody said to you if you are struggling to get in and out of the car place a nice thick plastic carrier bag on the seat before you sit down then you swivel into the car with greater ease and then swivel out again with more ease and this works.it works a bit like a wooden lazy suzy 🙂

Take a large brandy before you do anything that may be uncomfortable;-)
Maybe not...you'll be rat-ars**d]:)
30-04-2013 6:43 PM
Yes thanks cookie,:-D They had a plastic apron dispenser in my room and I used to pinch one of those to help me in to bed.;-)
Had a phone call from one place saying no blood test needed tomorrow and no injection tonight, take 5mg warfarin, then another one, you do need a blood test tomorrow and take 6mg warfarin. It was confusing enough to start with.:_| Just seen the neihgbout and she's coming at eight in the morning.:O
I've got bruises all over me. Even the tops of both arms where the BP machine cuff goes.
30-04-2013 6:44 PM
neihgbout ??? Lack of blood causes that! :^O

She was very good capt. apart from being about 25 and a size 8!!! She did things 'properly' and asked if she could look in the kitchen cupboards and drawers. Later, when she was making my cheese and pickle sandwich, she got the cheese out and went straight to the big drawer and got the cheese grater out, so she'd remembered what was in them. She was friendly and agreeable but didn't stand 'gossiping'. She's happy to do anything, loos, ironing etc.:-D

CG, it sounds like you got one good young lady that does the housework.
Warfarin is a pain. My mum's got to have her INR done again next Wednesday as she's have a tooth out and the root of another tooth out next Thursday. We are not looking forward to next Thursday one bit.
Because my mum's been on warfarin for a while now, I take her to our GP's surgery so the practice nurse can do it there. Apparently, they can get the reading straight away and work out what the warfarin dose is.
Mum's also had the injections in her tummy as well and they are awful. Mum's tummy was all bruised as well.
Good luck CG and sending more gentle hugs.

Hiya CG great that you're home and your home help sounds ace.:-)
Should have said before - I put a feather bed on top of the mattress for OH and also got him one of those V shaped pillows to make it easier for him to sleep on his back.
How's your pain levels? Applying arnica gel gets rid of the bruising. Your leg will be swollen for quite a while, OH was told it takes 3-6 months for it go completely.
Look after yourself :-x

Have just had my first shower with hubby's help.:O He hasn't got a clue!:^O
It's taken an hour and we're both exhausted. He likes putting the cream on my ankles and feet, but then he has to wipe the surplus off his hands anywhere he can. He doesn't like to waste it by washing it off.
I just emailed a friend who broke her leg two or three weeks ago. She had a PE too! I'd never thought of it before but I offered her the use of a walk in shower. Her bathroom is upstairs so hasn't been able to shower for three weeks.:-( I thought she would decline but she's trying to see if it's possible to get here by car. I'll have to tell her, my hubby is now an experienced shower aideB-)
I've found a pillow across the bed under my knees is helpful rainy. The pain varies but I have codeine if I want it. The bruising is only just appearing (I still have the dressing on) but it's yellow, not black/blue/green. Even my ankle on that leg is swollen and yet I'm wearing support socks and have my feet up a lot.
