Lovely day weather wise today but ankles especially have been bad closely followed by everything else. Never mind - there's always folk worse than me.
Hope that you can find out when you're having your hoof done. It's not much fun when everything aches is it?

you're so right there!! it's around my ankle on the left foot (which I've had done) that hurts so much on that one, and the back of my heel on the one waiting to be done.
I think if it rains anymore I may be going the hozzy in a flippin' canoe!!!! the little river nearby is filling up rapidly.
night night, see you tomorrow

Hope that you had a good night CB. I half did but never mind.
The nearest waterway to us is a stream about a mile away. In the town where I live, there's a railway bridge which is never used now but when it rains, the road underneath the bridge floods every time. We still get idiots trying to drive through it until the council close the road. When idiots do drive through it, the fire brigade end up going out to rescue them.

the river flows past in the field at the end of our road. When I say river, it's only about 8ft wide!!!! but it floods the road opposite us quite bad, the houses have been offered by the council to have a flood defense built but they all refused as they like the view!!!! can you believe how stupid peeps can be! luckily for us, our road is higher than theirs so we are safe. We did struggle to get insurance though as the river is less than 100mtrs from the bungalow.
I think it may be OK today, the sun is shining but it has rained....better tidy up the garden a bit.

I agree with you CB. How stupid are some people? We have a canal in town but I've never known that to flood but there's always a first time. Thing is there is a big store and a big posh hotel near the said canal. So you can imagine what would happen if the canal did flood.

Coooeeee Captain when are you back to work or is that a dirty word,
25-10-2013 3:26 PM
There's a lane I use on the way to and from work which usually floods
when we have heavy rainfall. It's shallow enough to drive through as
long as cars use the middle, there's a steep camber on the road so it
floods worst at the edges. Cars generally give way to one another so
they can use the middle of the road.
The other evening I was coming home, cars doing their usual giving
way thing and using the middle until my turn. Just going through the middle
when whoosh, idiot driver in BMW (surprise surprise), well he wans't
giving way to anyone so steams right past me, showering water all over
the place. Funny thing was he ground to a halt just past the flood.
Not being a nasty person I didn't think ha ha, serves him right....
much!

Captain - just to let you know, I had made another batch of hats for the smoothies, so I've popped a few more in the post to you. Nothing spectacular, just stripey hats with a bow on top, but they are easy to do.
