Can anyone throw any light on these, please?
1. A musical letter follows a vehicle;
2. The songs tells of a dancer;
3. Lenght of material for instance;
4. Learner could turn out to be very clever;
5. Pop confronts a crooked file;
6. An insect tangles with remedy.
1-3 are probably girls, 4-6 probably boys.
No. 2 is correctly transcribed!
All help gratefully received!

Or could it be Carla?
I hate cryptics for the simple reason I never get them, yet when you see the answer they are so obvious

Morning all. ty for your tihinking time.
1. I thought Carla but I think I prefer Cara;
2. If Stella is right, and it was all I could think of, it's a poor clue;
3. "For instance" suuggests "eg" rather than "ie"?
4. Could it be Beverly (be very + l for learner)?
5. ....but neil isn't a crooked file?
6. I agree Bruce, just wasn't convinced by B for insect!.

Occurs to me that a file could be a line, which would support Daniel for no. 5...

That seems more likely qadzbork, the Da for pop. A in Alfie doesn't mean pop does it?.
