who was your favourite character from the BP books? mine was Mrs Tiggywinkle, she reminded me of my grandma I think, she was a big woman but lovely and squidgy for a cuddle!! Because the bathroom was off the kitchen in her house there was always that laundry smell as things would be drying off over the bath on a huge rack. Maybe that's why my 5yr old mind put the two of them together.
what's your favourite?

they are the most gorgeous books to look at no matter that age you are. I bought the full set in a box when I was in my late 30's as I got all my books as a child from the library. At home we had a couple of books and a set of encyclopaedias but anything else I read came from the library. I went every week and got 6 books out, I loved the place.

I was never into them & neither were my children or grandchildren. The illustrations are nice though.

Loved the books as a child and bought and read them to my children.
When in the Lake District took the children to the Beatrix Potter Experience place where they had huge models of
all the characters.
We were going round and thoroughly enjoying it when we heard a bit of commotion.
The people behind us were the millionth visitors and got photographed and a huge hamper with soft toys and other
gifts!
Wish we had let them go first!

My favourite character from the books was always Hunca Munca but my favourite piece of pottery from the collection is Diggery Diggory Delvet because it's the first piece my Dad bought me as a child .

It would have to have been Mrs Tiggywiggle. You know i went to see the film when i was young with my mum and i remember having a weird feeling of getting emotional over something (filmwise) for the first time ever. I thought it was wondrous and it made me cry and think about it for days. beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
