Did anyone else watch the new programme on Saturday called Atlantis?. I like things about Greek Mythology so i thought i would give it a go and i really liked it. I could not take to Merlin at all but this i thought was interesting with all the Mythological creatures !. it was quite scary when they were in that cave with the Minotaur!!!. I used to like Jason and the Argonauts and things like that. But this programme looks as if it will be a good one.

Yes I watched it I think it should be a good one, I loved Merlin and Robin Hood too so I am looking forward to the rest of the series. Quite a good Saturday night now.

I got about 1/2 way through it and then had to go catch a baby hoglet that was running about the garden. Good thing as it is just a tiny one and wouldn't have survived the winter. So I have my first baby hog for this season who will over winter with us. 🙂 I still need to watch it on Iplayer.

I was really looking forward to it, but what a load of tripe it turned out to be!
So a man from the 21st centurary gets washed up on a beach, finds some clothes and puts them on, fine so far, but wristbands and a necklace?! oh please I don't know one man who would add those.
Is it supposed to be set on Atlantis or Crete? King Minos was the king of Crete, and as Crete still exists today I doubt they can get away with sinking the island.
If you are a fan of Greek mythology you should know that it was Theseus who killed the Minotaur and not Jason.
Either stick to the mythology or so something original, not some cheap mindless mish-mash.
Yet another really poor BBC drama, Merlin was dreadful (they didn't have sandwiches, spectacles or high heeled shoes back in the dark ages).
How is it that Canadian TV can made some of the best genre Drama around also the brilliant Game of Thrones and we have to turn out rubbish like Atlantis and Merlin.
I think you can gather I didn't like it.

After that review I am not going to bother with it. I loved Game of Thrones. So original & completely gripping from start to finish!

Game of Thrones is brilliant,
I think when you watch these programmes you have to accept they won't be historically correct, especially as they are legends and myths and not real !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I fully understand they are not real, however if they are going to use characters from mythology, they should at least make sure they stick with the legend and not substitute them for someone else.
Also as far as Merlin was concerned, they could have at least dropped the really stupid things. They may just have well slung some aliens in for all the sense it would make.

I don't think I will bother with this one Rose. It will always clash with something else I want to watch & I have no time for iplayer.

Thats the thing there are quite a few things that are new on at the moment but some are on at 9pm a lot of the time. Or they are all on at the same time. I always mark what i want to watch each day in the t.v book then cross it off when i have seen it. Then at the end of the week go back and watch others on catch up.
