Hi
I have been taking tiny dose 0.5mg synthetic melatonin for about two months now, and find it very effective for getting off to sleep. The only drawback (which is a quite common side effect) is the occasional headache next day.
I've been reading up on Asphalia which is a natural melatonin derived from wheat grass and barley grass, and wondered of anyone here has tried it? It's quite expensive so I thought I'd ask here before buying 🙂
p.s
I know about Nytol / Valarian etc, and all the other sleep inducing tablets, but melatonin is the only one that works for me (and doesn't give me vivid dreams / nightmares like herbal valarian does)

Hello
I would rather take 100% natural Asphalia as it contains natural levels of Vitamins C,E,B6 and beta carotene and also contains physiological levels of a natural sleep hormone made in the brain than man made tablets ....
If you have a shop called Neil's Yard where you live would be a great idea to go & speak to them as I am sure they will not only sell it but will also help you in choosing somethin 100% natural/organic within your budget
Hope this helps !!!

Hi and thanks for the reply 🙂
Yes I like the sound of these tablets over the ones I take. Same active ingredient but from a natural source.
Do you ever get 'melatonin headache' on the Asphalia?
Also, how long do you find that they take to work once swallowed? (my tablets take approx 2 hrs to work, but when they do, I seriously conk out!)
Thanks again!
