Absent-Mindedness

Do you ever do or say the most bizarre things instead of what

you mean to do or say?

This morning hubby was looking for his t-shirt and I said, "It's

hanging over the rail in the vegetable patch" when I meant airing

cupboard.  We haven't even got a vegetable patch!

I reckon our brains must get too full of stuff sometimes and have

to release a bit, a bit like an air-brake on a bus!

Another fairly recent example was when I put the clingfilm in the

fridge and nobody noticed for days!

I often think I'm going senile.  Only yesterday when I was making a bacon and egg pie, I put the lid on and realised I'd forgotten to put the eggs in!!

I think the daftest thing that I do is to search for my house keys when I'm going out, only to discover they are in my hand already! I think it because I'm usually rushing about to catch the bus - that's my excuse anyway

I spend a lot of tme looking for things I've just put down....

had them in my hand 2 minutes ago,put them down and poof...they vanish...

i can forget stuff more easily

like moving  from room to  room

even looking up a crossword answer we have no hope of getting  took me 3 days  this week,  from going from crossword  to computer  lol

not sure if i should be worrying about that though 😐

Oh Rose I am glad I am not the only one that is one of my favourites, also I told my son to put the clean sheets in the fridge the other day instead of the airing cupboard,

See how absent-minded I am?  I forgot to come back!

Yes, CG, I'm still driving but I've never forgotten to pick

anyone up (yet!) and I don't usually forget where I'm

going either although do occasionally forget which

school bus I'm doing as we have six that all head off

in the same direction every morning, then seperate

further along.  I have been known to have to look at

the number in the window to remind myself which one

I'm doing that day!

It's not so much forgetting to do stuff with me, it's doing

daft stuff and more so, saying it!

I did say another peculiar thing the other day ( no comments please im always saying peculiar things LOl), but i cannot remember what it was Haaaaaaaaa haaaaaaa haaaaaaa, honestly im so bad lately.

Went into the shop the other day and had a panic as the box with the change in wasn't in its usual place....eventually found it, had put it on the shelf with the pasta!!!!

I think the only thing i do on a regular basis, is look for my specs, when they are already perched on my head...

Oh gosh don't remind me of missing specs, honestly, my hubby has four

pairs and on a regular basis he cannot find any of them!

This morning he was supposed to take the car into garage when he went

up to the shop for his lunch.  He forgot the car.  Enough said!
