Leo, the implant is very good, but it's not quite that good - some implantees can manage brilliantly on the phone, others can't. There are just so many factors at work with something like that that I couldn't begin to explain it all.
Anyway, had the day off today so I took in the holiday photos for developing and printing, did a little bit of shopping and lso managed to collect three new haulages while I was at it, so quite a productive day...

Picked the pictures up same day - I paid for the one hour service...
Yes, the photos came out well - at least those that were not affected by the hinge failure on the back of Yola's camera did anyway!
Having said that, I realised as soon as it started what was happening and the judicious use of a powerful thumb and, later, copious volumes of insulating tape on the back of the camera during the second half of the holiday meant that we only lost a few pictures due to the light ingress; most of those aren't too bad so I've kept them in the hope that I can find an expert who can remove the effects if they scan the pictures in and manipulate them.
Had an identical spare camera here at home so normal service has already been resumed.
Rain here overnight, but stopped now..
