We only went into the town centre ( 10 minutes walk! ) although we did go twice; first time to do a bit of shopping and second time to have a meal.  Rained all day.

I'm all the way up in Manchester pete, you can get your pics scanned at a puplic library, I think they may charge a few pence per scan, I haven't done one in a library for a good fer years now.

I can do what I can, though it may be, that fragged, is fragged. I have done some pic repair/clean-up, sadly I can't show any of theirs, as they are private stills from movie productions, such as the 90s RoboCop 2 movie, and I have very few of my own that have come out a little worse for wares, but anyway, here is one of mine, taken through the port-hole of the aeroplane I was travelling in to New York a few years back:

Kame, that looks a very good clean up; are those pictures the Newfoundland / Nova Scotia area???  I notice the atmospheric layering has shown up - was it from Concorde?  You need to be quite high to get that effect.

The damaged pictures in our case have some slight red glare in some cases andd a bright red thin bar in other cases where stray light got onto the film.

Can't say exactly where we we flying over at the time of this picture pete (it was November 2000, but feels like yesterday), all I can remember was that we were approaching the flightpath towards Newark Liberty International Airport, and this was the first glimpse of American land that I could see from my window... which was just a normal BA jumbo, but we were quite high!

They don't sound too bad, but a description of a photo is one thing, seeing is another, though they sound similar to several other pics I have done, so they might be something I can do in an evening after work.

Done a long ( 3 hour ) painting session today; now trying to get through a lot of my online stuff early to try to avoid another overshoot...

Might have to nip up to London from work tomorrow; the external processor for my implant has failed; trouble is I need to be sure of getting home by 17.30 latest so if they can't see me in the repairs clinic before about 15.00 I'll tell them to leave it until Wednesday.

I must say it is a very peaceful, quiet day today regardless of how much noise everyone else makes...

The problem turned out to be a loose connection in the battery compartment; new compartment fitted and that was it - sorted.  Literally a 5 minute job...
