A Toilet Thread (Faint-Hearted, Turn Away Now)

Am I really weird for asking this?

I really do not like people pooing in my toilet. Seriously - I get quite uptight about it. If you've travelled a long way to reach us for a visit, then fair enough (although there are plenty of public loos en route), or if you're staying over, then absolutely fair enough (although you could always pop to the local supermarket or somesuch first thing in the morning - no? Okay, maybe that's too much, scrub that idea, I can live with it)!

BUT - someone who lives just down the road, pops in for a visit and uses my loo when they could have used their own just minutes before. Why would you do that? I don't even like using public toilets, let alone think about using someone else's for, well, something else :_| Most especially a friend. All my friends now know they are not permitted to poo in my loo, with other casual visitors it's a more difficult subject to broach.

Now - I can't be alone, surely . . . . . ? ? ?

Don't mind family using it, can put up with friends using it, but don't like workmen using it, especially when they don't bother to flush and leave a huge poo stuck there as did one of the blokes who came to service my mum's stairlift once X-(

So I now have a cunning plan...they are told the toilet has broken and I am waiting for the plumber and I direct them into the village to use the one at the supermarket...

For those with a hatred of someone else using your loo for a 'shout' rather than a 'whisper' as Huggles very elegantly put it,  a tip might be to avoid giving meals or hot drinks to guests as both can commonly trigger the urge to go.    Coffee is particularly good at it, so give tepid tea to your workmen 😄

Not often you see huggles and elegantly in the same sentence!

I can honestly say it has never presented a problem here. I am quite happy with friends & family to use my toilet. I don't have any loo hang ups be it private or public ones.

Maybe I'm odd...but it doesn't bother me in the least.

Is it because I was a nurse...seen more excretions than the average !

I don't know, but it isn't a problem to me...I would like to think that if I was ' desperate ', I could use a loo.

I do have IBS though.

Me too - not at all bothered.

With my family, I'm just grateful they make it to the loo!  😄

We have a good friend who regularly visits...

He will say..

" I need a wee"

When he emerges 5 minutes later ...you just know it was more than a wee....

Well it's not too bad if they leave it as they find it.   I never use anybody else's loo but if I had to, I'd make sure it was clean before I came out!

Loo brushes are horrible things though aren't they! I once knew someone who boasted he put them through the dishwasher to clean them!

Anybody who spends more than three minutes in there, I'm hopping around outside with a bottle of disinfectant and rubber gloves (possibly a gas mask).

All of our good friends know it is just not allowed.

Sorry, I admit it, yes - I am weird, wearing my plastic shoe coverings

Just . . . . . . . . . . . Yeuch!

Even on hospital visits through my life, I wait until I get home. It has been up to two weeks.

In hospital - no way Jose (really - two weeks) You can only imagine what shape my tummy was in

As soon as I get home, in my own loo -  then yes thank you, I'm relaxed enough to do the do. 'Cos I know I'm the one to do the cleaning
