If you had posted this using Discussion > Postage you might have had a quicker reply. A few people there have mentioned problems with Royal Mail claims this Summer. I also had one that took many months to complete, and then RM only sent me stamps instead of the item value I had correctly claimed for (with receipts). The only thing we concluded was to keep good records - receipts, claim number - and chase them up. That is if the value is enough to be worth the hassle.
